Professor Doctor Ibad Nabeel Shad is renowned and most senior Punjabi Poet, writer and researcher of Kanganpur area. His date of birth is 2nd August 1966. The names of his parents are Late Abdul Hameed and Late Hanifaan Begum. His place of birth is Kanganpur District Kasur. Dr. Ibad Nabeel Shad has three brothers and three sisters. He belongs to a respectable and educated family of Kanganpur.

Education

Professor Doctor Ibad Nabeel Shad passed his Matriculation with science subjects in 1982 from Government High School Kanganpur. He did his Intermediate from Government Islamia College Kasur in 1984. He obtained the degree of Bachelor of Arts from Government Islamia College Kasur in 1986. He did his Master in Art in Punjabi in 1988 from University of The Punjab Lahore as a private student.

He obtained the degree of Ph. D in Punjabi from University Oriental College Punjab University Lahore during the session 2002-03. After doing Primary Teaching Certificate, Certificate of Teaching and Bachelor of Education, Dr. Ibad Nabeel Shad obtained the degree M. Ed in 1990 from Institute of Education & Research University of The Punjab Lahore. Not only this, he also received the degree of L.L.B in 1992 from University of The Punjab Lahore.

Marriage

DrProfessor Doctor Ibad Nabeel Shad was married to Rubina Naz on 8th January 1996. He has two daughters named Neelak Batool and Neera Batool who are getting education from various well-known educational institutions.

Job Description

Dr. Ibad NabProfessor Doctor Ibad Nabeel Shad joined Punjab School Education Department as a Primary School Teacher in 1985. Then he promoted as Elementary School Teacher. After this, Dr. Ibad Nabeel Shad was selected as Lecturer in Punjabi through competitive examination of Punjab Public Service Commission Lahore and appointed as Lecturer in Punjabi at Government Degree College Buchal Kalan District Chakwal. Soon he transferred to Islamia College Railway Road Lahore and started working as Chairman Department of Punjabi Government Islamia College Railway Road Lahore.

Dr. Ibad Nabeel Shad got departmental promotion as Assistant Professor on 23rd November 2010 and appointed in the same Islamia College Railway Road Lahore. Dr. Ibad Nabeel Shad again selected as Associate Professor in Punjabi in BPS 19 through Punjab Public Service Commission Lahore and appointed as Associate Professor on 1st March 2016 at Islamia College Railway Road Lahore. He has completed his training for Professor in Punjabi in BPS 20 and soon he will get departmental promotion as Full Professor in Punjabi.

Poetry & Literary Work

Dr. Ibad Nabeel Shad started doing Punjabi poetry in shape of Ghazals and poems in 1985. He got literary guidance from famous Punjabi Poet of District Kasur named Ustad Khileel Atish, Malang Bulhay Shah. His first Punjabi poetry book consists upon Ghazals and poems named “Souli Tangeya Soraj” was published in 1992 by Ibrahim and Sons Urdu Bazar Lahore. “Souli Tangeya Soraj” is the first published book of Punjabi poetry of Kanganpur area. His second poetry book “Jaag Peya Andar Da Mausam” was published in 2003 in both Shahmukhi & Gurmukhi scripts separately by Ilyas Ghumman Chairman Institute of Punjabi Language and Culture Lahore

. He won Writers Glide ‘s literary award on behalf of his book “Jaag Peya Andar Da Mausam“. His poetry has published in almost every renowned Punjabi literary journals i, e Monthly Swair Lahore, Monthly Lehraan Lahore, Sahat Lahore, Rvel Lahore, Monthly Likhari Lahore, Tamahi Punjabi Adb and many more.

Organizational Work

Bismil Art Concern was a social welfare and literary organization of Kanganpur. It’s founder was Late Sabir Ali Bismil. Dr. Ibad Nabeel Shad worked many years with Bismil Art Concern as Secretary of Bismil Art Concern Kanganpur. Not only this, Dr. Ibad Nabeel Shad worked as Secretary of Punjabi Adbi Sangat Lahore from 1996 to 2016 (20 years).

Research Work

Professor Doctor Ibad Nabeel Shad is also an excellent researcher. He submitted his M. Ed research thesis under the supervision of Dr. Zia Ullah Shah on the topic of “Hazrat Ali (A.S) Ki Shairi Main Taaleemi Muzamrat” to Institute of Education & Research University of The Punjab Lahore. Dr. Ibad Nabeel Shad also submitted his Ph. D Punjabi research thesis under the supervision of Mam Prof. Dr. Nabila Rehman Sahiba on the topic of “Punjabi Vich Aapbeti Di Rawait” to University Oriental College Punjab University Lahore. A small part of his Ph. D Punjabi thesis has separately published in book form entitled “Punjabi Vich Aapbeti Di Rawait” by Punjab Institute of Language Art and Culture Lahore in 2007. On this research book, Dr. Ibad Nabeel Shad won Shafqat Tanvir Mirza research award by Government of Punjab through Institute of Language Art and Culture Lahore.

More than 15 Punjabi research articles of Dr. Ibad Nabeel Shad has published in HEC Recognized journals like “Khoj” of Department of Punjabi Punjab University Lahore, “Punjab Rang” of Punjab Institute of Language Art and Culture Lahore, “Parakh” of Lahore College for Women University Lahore and “Tamahi Punjabi Adb” of Pakistan Punjabi Adbi Board Lahore.

Professor Doctor Ibad Nabeel Shad as Editor

Dr. Ibad Nabeel Shad was Editor of a book series journal named “Satluj” published by Bismil Art Concern Kanganpur. Later Bismil Art Concern obtained declaration from Government of Punjab to publish a three month journal named “Tamahi Ankh” from Kanganpur. Dr. Ibad Nabeel Shad also worked as Editor of “Tamahi Ankh Kanganpur”. Dr. Ibad Nabeel Shad is also included in editors penal of a book series journal named “Suneha” published by Punjabi Adbi Sangat Lahore

میں دھرتی رُشنان دا وعدہ کیتا اے

توں جے ہتھ پوان دا وعدہ کیتا اے

جد تک ساہ نیں اپنی گل دے قائم رہویں
