Introduction of Baba e Kasur Dr. Muhammad Riaz Anjum
Dr.Muhammad Riaz Anjum is simultaneously a prominent researcher, critic, historian, writer, poet, translator, journalist and educationist of District Kasur .He was born on 4th July 1976, in Gali Mashkian Wali Basti Chirag Shah Kasur in the home of Raj Bibi (1928-2020) and Haji Muhammad (1923-2000).
He has a keen eye on the history of Kasur and has been engaged in scholarly and literary services in Punjabi, Urdu and English for the last two decades. More than a dozen of his books have published and some are awaiting publication.
He has received several awards including Best Book Award from the Government of Punjab. Bulleh Shah Adbi Sangat (Regd) Kasur awarded him the title of Baba-e-Kasur in a resolution of 2015, which was ratified by the District Government of Kasur in December 2015.
He associated with various scholarly and literary institutions and has been publishing a book series, Monthly Bullah Kasur, since 2009.
Educational Journey
Dr. Muhammad Riaz Anjum passed his Metric in 1994 from BISE Lahore. He passed his Higher Secondary School Certificate in 1996 from BISE Lahore. He obtained the degree of Bachelor of Arts in 1998 from Punjab University Lahore.
Riaz Anjum did his Urdu Fazil in 1999 from BISE Lahore. He also obtained the degrees of M.A Urdu(2014) and MoL(2021) from the University of Sargodha. Dr. Muhammad Riaz Anjum earned his degree of Master of Philosophy in Urdu from AIOU Islamabad in 2021
Currently, he is Ph.D. Urdu Research Scholar at Minhaj University Lahore. Mr. Anjum is well educated man with a lot of educational degrees. Riaz Anjum also passed Punjabi Fazil in 2000 from BISE Lahore. He also got the degrees of M.A Punjabi (2005) and MOL(2019) from Punjab University Lahore. He also passed M.A in History from Sargodha University in 2009.
Mr. Riaz Anjum passed Taleem ul Quran course from Taleem ul Quran Correspondence School Lahore in 1996. He also passed Quran Study from International Islamic University Islamabad in 1999. Riaz Anjum obtained the degree of Master of Arts in Islamiat in 2000 from Punjab University Lahore.
Professional Qualification
He got the degrees of B. Ed in 2000 and M. Ed in 2007 from Allama Iqbal Open University Islamabad through distance learning system.
Last but not the least, he also earned Degrees of DHMS and RHMP (1996-2000) from Anwar ul Islam Homeopathic Medical College Kasur registered with National Council for Homeopathy Pakistan.
