Researcher Prof. Sidra Sozana Younas is a learned academic researcher who conduct her MS Punjabi research on Punjabi short stories of renowned Punjabi fiction writer Ali Anwar Ahmad of Chahal Kohna near Kanganpur. The topic of her research thesis is “Ali Anwar Ahmad Dian Kahanian Vich Paindo Wasib–Ik Wairwa”. While studying in MS Punjabi at Lahore College for Women University Lahore, Miss Sidra Sozana Younas under Roll Number 331652008 submitted her research thesis under the supervision of Mam Prof. Dr. Hina Khan in the year 2018.

Miss Sidra Sozana Younas dedicated her research thesis to her parents. She divided her thesis into 5 chapters. The names of these five chapters are “Introduction”, “Literature Review”, “Research Methodology”, “Ali Anwar Ahmad Dian Kahanian Vich Paindo Wasib–Ik Wairwa” and “Mukdi Gal”. Miss Sidra Sozana Younas conducted her research thesis with care and full concentration. Definitely, she has done a great work. Researcher Prof. Sidra Sozana Younas was born on 22nd March 1991 in the house of Younas Masih and Parveen Younas at Mohallah Eid Gah Sadar Bazar Lahore Cantt. She has two brothers and two sisters.

Education

Sidra Sozana Younas passed her Secondary School Certificate in 2009 from BISE Lahore as a private student. She passed Higher Secondary School Certificate in 2011 as a private student from BISE Lahore. She obtained the degree of BS Honours during the session 2012-16 from Lahore College for Women University Lahore. She wrote her BS research thesis on the topic “Kabutar Baneray Tay Galiyan – – Ik Wairwa” under the supervision of Mam Prof. Dr. Hina Khan. Sidra Sozana obtained the degree of MS Punjabi from Lahore College for Women University Lahore during the session 2016-18.

Miss Sidra Sozana Younas is not only an excellent researcher but also a beautiful Punjabi short stories writer. Her Punjabi short stories has published in renowned Punjabi journal named Rvel Lahore.

Job History

Miss Sidra Sozana Younas worked as Research Officer at Dyal Singh Research and Cultural Forum at Dyal Singh Trust Library Lahore from 2018 to April 2021. After this job, Miss Sidra Sozana Younas was selected as Gazetted Officer Grade 17 as Lecturer in Punjabi through Punjab Public Service Commission Lahore and posted at Government Degree College For Women Bhowana Chiniot. She joined Higher Education Department as Lecturer in Punjabi on 5th April 2021.

Other

Prof. Sidra Sozana Younas knows both Shahmukhi and Gurmukhi scripts of Punjabi very well. She can write and type on computer both Gurmukhi and Shahmukhi scripts of Punjabi. Not only this, Miss Sidra Sozana Younas translated over fifty books from Gurmukhi to Shahmukhi before/during/after her job at Dyal Singh Trust Library Lahore. From these fifty translated books, some have been published.
