Sikh Failure on the Partition of Punjab in 1947
Seriously? Sikhs did not fail anything.
This was a monumental failure of the power-hungry land-grabbing Hindu and Muslim leadership who prostrated to their British colonial masters and allowed them to divide our collective homeland right in the middle of the Sikh region in a way that would guarantee weakness, hostility, and instability for India and Pakistan – forever. The British playbook was to divide and conquer, and Nehru and Jinnah played right into it for their own selfish motives.
The right decision would have been for them to join with the Sikhs and tell the British they were not dividing anything, and drop kick them out of the border.
Mr. Sandhu should do a deep dive, step back, and look at the big picture. Disappointing article.
Thank you Anju Kaur je for very important comments but I request you to go through the book and write a comprehensive analysis that will serve the very purpose of the subject. SSA
