Poet of Kanganpur: Talat Mehmood Rizvi:
Talat Rizvi is a beautiful, excellent and senior Punjabi Poet of Kanganpur city. He lives near Main Gate of Government Girls High School Kanganpur District Kasur. His real name is Talat Mehmood. Mr. Talat Rizvi was born on 1st April 1983 at Kanganpur. His father Abdur Rehman is Retired Secretary Union Council Kanganpur. His great mother Late Hajra Bibi was an educated lady. Talat Rizvi is my class fellow and childhood bosom friends. His mother was very kind, caring and loving for both of us (Rizvi & Ali Babar). Mr. Talat Rizvi has two brothers and two sisters. Talat Rizvi was got married on 24th July 2009. He has two sons and one daughter.
Mr. Talat Rizvi passed his Matriculation in 1999 from Government Higher Secondary School Kanganpur. He obtained Higher Secondary School Certificate as a private student in 2001. He got the degree of Bachelor of Arts from University of The Punjab Lahore in 2007. No doubt Talat Rizvi was a bright and brilliant student. He received the degree of M. Se Gender & Women’s Studies in 2010 from Allama Iqbal Open University Islamabad. Talat Rizvi is also trying to get the degree of LLB from Bhao Udin Zikaria University Multan. He has also computer certification.
Mr. Talat Rizvi is a sportsman. He is a good player of Hockey and cricket. Talat Rizvi remained Captain of School hockey team of Government Higher Secondary School Kanganpur in 1999.
Mr. Talat Rizvi joined Punjab Police department in 2006 as a constable. He is now Head Constable. Presently he is performing his duties as incharge of Mal Khana at Chunian.
Poet of Kanganpur: Talat Mehmood Rizvi started doing Punjabi poetry in shape of Ghazals in the year 2000. Late Ustad Sain Naz Hussain Naz Mastana, Late Ustad Nazir Ahmad Zahid and Prof. Dr. Ibad Nabeel Shad are his literary teachers who provided him guidance in the field of Punjabi poetry. Mr. Talat Rizvi is also running a Punjabi literary organization named Punjabi Adbi Akath Kanganpur. He is President of Punjabi Adbi Akath Kanganpur. This literary organization works for the service of Punjabi in shape of meetings of poets.
His poetry has published in various renowned literary journals and newspapers like Daily Khybaraan Lahore, Monthly Swair International and Rvel Lahore. His poetry book is in progress and soon it will be published in future.
Mr. Talat Rizvi is also President of District Kasur of Pakistan Peace Counsel & Interfaith Harmony and Religions. Mr. Talat Rizvi with his team of Pakistan Peace Council arranged different programs for religious harmony. In these programs, the leaders of every religion and sect are invited and discussed different points to create religious harmony among the public. Mr. Talat Rizvi also took part in International Peace Conference held in Falleties Hotal Lahore in 2019.
