Introduction
Government Technical Training Centre (GTTC) Kanganpur is working under Technical Education & Vocational Training Authority, Government of Punjab.
The purposes of Technical Education & Vocational Training Authority (TEVTA) is to provide skilled and professional workforce to meet the needs of different fields of industry, commerce, trade and agriculture so that our beloved country Pakistan may be able to make progress by leaps and bounds.
Government Technical Training Centre Kanganpur (GTTC) is providing technical and vocational training to the young generation of Kanganpur and surrounding areas.
National Vocational Technical Training Commission, Government of Pakistan (The apex body on Technical Education and vocational Training in Pakistan) has also accredited this institute under program accreditation and this institute became the first TEVTA institute in Okara and Kasur district to obtain this certificate under latest performance indicators of NAVTTC.
History Via Commemorative Stones
The opening ceremony of laying foundation stone of the building of Government Technical Training Centre Kangan Pur According to inauguration metal plate, the inauguration of Government Technical Training Centre Kanganpur was done by the hands of Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif, Chief Minister of the Punjab on 15th March 2013 with the special efforts of Mr. Ahsan Raza Khan MPA PP 180.
But actually due to some personal issues, Mian Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif did not come here for opening ceremony and he sent his representative Zaeem Qadri for opening Government Technical Training Centre Kanganpur on the same date i,e 15th March 2013.
Names of Managers/Principals
According to board of Managers hanging on the wall of Principal office, the Managers and Principals who served Government Technical Training Centre Kanganpur are Mr. Sajjad Ahmad MBA from 12th December 2012 to 5th June 2014, Mr. Basharat Ali as an Incharge Manager from 6th June 2014 to 21st September 2015 and Engineer Ali Farooq (Principal) from 22nd September 2015 to till now.
About Present Principal
Present Principal Engineer Ali Farooq is really a nice and cooperative person. He seems to be very committed with his professional responsibilities. He is very talented and highly qualified person.
Mr. Ali Farooq obtained the degree of Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from University of Engineering & Technology Lahore.
He also earned his degree of Master of Science in Thermal Power Engineering from University of Engineering and Technology Lahore. When we (Nabeel Nabar & Ali Babar) visited his institution, he warmly welcomed us.
Ali Zaib Foundation Faisabad issued a certificate of Appreciation to Principal Engineer Ali Farooq for organizing a blood donation camp on 10-05-2017 in which 27 volunteers donated their blood. Moreover, Indus Motor Company Limited and United Nations Association For Pakistan (UNDP) awarded him Certificate of participation in online training on Japanese 5S Methodology conducted under Toyota 5S Ecological conservation program 2020-21.
Not only this but National Productivity Organization also awarded Engineer Ali Farooq a certificate for attending 5 Day International online training on Innovation-led Knowledge Management (1 CPD Credit Point) from 12-19 October 2020 under Continuous Professional Development Program.
