Prof. Dr. Akhtar Hussain Sandhu dedicated his travelogue book “Hum Gaey England” to his Honourable Teacher Prof. Ian Talbot of University of Southampton.
Preface
Dr. Akhtar Hussain Sandhu wrote the preface of this book entitled “Ibtadaya”. Dr. Akhtar Hussain Sandhu says that He was doing Ph. D in History from Quaid e Azam University Islamabad under the supervision of Prof. Doctor Sikander Hayat Khan when Higher Education Commission awarded him six months scholarship and he reached in London in April 2008.
He also pays his great tribute to his learned teachers Prof. Syed Azhar Ali Qazmi, Mubashar Hussain Syed, Irshad Ahmad Haqani, Dr. Sadiq Ali Gill, Prof. Ali Abbas Syed, Dr. Iqbal Chawala, Dr. Rasool Bakish Rais, Dr. Rais Ahmad Khan, Dr. Razi Azami, Dr. Rukhsana Qambar, Prof. Andrew Coch and Dr. Sikander Hayat who taught him with great care and kindness. Dr. Akhtar Hussain Sandhu lived in three cities of Reading, Southampton and London. He spent most of his time in Archive, Library and his room as he was here to conduct research on his Doctorate thesis entitled “Muslim-Sikh Relations”
