Gaddar Railway Bridge

he Gaddar Railway Bridge is a British-era monument located in Kanganpur, Punjab, Pakistan. It is a 101-year-old bridge that spans the Kanganpur District Canal, which irrigates thousands of acres of land in the Mokal, Kanganpur, and Okara districts. The bridge was constructed in 1920 by the Tees Side Bridge and Engineering Work Limited of Middle Esbrough, England.

The Gaddar Railway Bridge is a single-span, steel truss bridge. It is 200 feet long and 30 feet high. The bridge is listed as a heritage structure by the Government of Punjab.

The Gaddar Railway Bridge is a popular tourist destination. It is a popular spot for photography and picnicking. The bridge is also a popular spot for fishing.

Ahsan Raza Khan (Ex MPA, Parliamentary Secretary Punjab), Prof. Dr. Ibad Nabeel Shad (HOD Department of Punjabi Government Islamia College Railway Road Lahore, Punjabi Poet, writer, researcher & Punjabi activist), Ch. Afsar Raza Khan (Advocate High Court, Politician), Ch. Faisal Raza Khan (Advocate High Court, Politician), Talat Rizvi (Punjabi Poet), Ch. Tanvir Alyas (Advocate High Court), Kashif Gohar (Punjabi Poet) Ashfaq Kaamal (Teacher, Punjabi Poet & Researcher), Abdul Ghaffar Raazi (Punjabi Poet, researcher) and Ali Babar (Punjabi Poet, Writer, Photographer, Historian, Researcher & Punjabi Activist) are some prominent and renowned figures of our locality who used to take bath in this Canal in their childhood at this spot. They were beaten several times by their parents especially mothers.
