Introduction of Baba Bulhay Shah Sarkar

Hazrat Baba Bulhay Shah Sarkar is called as the representative of the realities. The real name of Hazrat Baba Bulhay Shah Sarkar is Syed Abdullah Shah. The name of his father is Sakhi Shah Muhammad Darvaish.

He was Imam Masjid by profession. Hazrat Baba Bulhay Shah was born in 1680 A. D in a village named Uchh Gilaniaan. Then his father Sakhi Shah Muhammad Darvaish was migrated in a village Malikwaal.

After some time, he permanently settled in a village named Pandoki Bhattian District Lahore. The name of the mother of Hazrat Baba Bulhay Shah Sarkar is Fatima Bibi.

The last resting places of the parents of Hazrat Baba Bulhay Shah Sarkar situated in village Pandoki Bhattian District Lahore.

Education

Hazrat Baba Bulhay Shah Sarkar received his Quranic education from his father Sakhi Shah Muhammad Darvaish. After this, he admitted in the educational institution run by famous religious scholar of Kasur named Molvi Ghulam Murtza Qadari.

Hazrat Baba Bulhay Shah received the education of Tafseer, Hadis, Fiqa, rational studies and philosophy in the educational institution of Molvi Ghulam Murtza Qadari.

Hazrat Baba Syed Waris Shah Sarkar also received his education from the educational institution of Molvi Ghulam Murtza Qadari of Kasur.

Spiritual Leader

Hazrat Baba Bulhay Shah Sarkar gained spiritual guidance from spiritual leader and Mushad named Hazrat Shah Anayat Qadari who was Imam Masjid of Uchi Maseet located at Bhati Gate Lahore. His Murshad belong to Arain family.

On the other hand, Hazrat Baba Bulhay Shah was from Syed Family. His family members scolded him for obtaining spiritual guidance from an Arain. Then Bulhay Shah Sarkar replied:

جہڑا مینوں سید آکھے دوزخ ملن سزائیاں
جہڑا مینوں ارائیں آکھے بہشتیں پینگاں پائیاں

Hazrat Baba Bulhay Shah had a great love and respect for his Murshad Shah Anayat Qadari. When his spiritual leader Shah Anayat Qadari became angry with him, Bulhay Shah said in his Kaafi in this way:

ایسے عشقے دی جھنگی وچ مور بولیندا
سانوں قبلہ تے کعبہ سوہنا یار دسیندا
سانوں گھائل کرکے فیر خبر نہ لئیاں
تیرے عشق نچایا کر کے تھیا تھیا

Death and Urs

Hazrat Baba Bulhay Shah spent a lot of duration of his life in Kasur and Lahore. After the death of his Murshad Shah Anayat Qadari, Bulhay Shah did Majawari for 27 years at the grave of his spiritual leader.

Hazrat Baba Bulhay Shah was died in 1757 and buried outside in Kasur town. Now his Tomb is located at Railway road Kasur. It is celebrated on 9th ,10th and 11th of Bhadoon in the last week of August every year on 26th, 27th and 28th August.

Others

Bulhay Shah Sarkar did Punjabi poetry in shape of Kaafi, Baran Maah, Satwaray, Athwary, Dohrray and See Harfi. The message of his poetry is to love Allah Almighty and his all creatures especially mankind.

The message of his poetry is spreader universally. His poetry translated in every big Literary language of the world.

Due to the boldness tune of his poetry, Bulhay Shah Sarkar is called as fearless and boldness Sufi Poet of Punjabi.

اِکڑ کھڑکے دُکڑ وجے تتّا ہووے چلہا
آن فقیر تے کھا کھا جاون راضی ہووے بُلھا

بُلھیا توں عاشق ہویوں رب دا ہوئی ملامت لاکھ
تینوں کافر ، کافر آکھدے توں آہو آہو آکھ

عرش فرش تے بانگاں ملیاں مکے پے گیا شور
بُلھے شاہ اساں مرنا ناہیں گور پیا کوئی ہور

وارے جائیے اوہناں توں جہڑے گلیں دین ٹڑخا
سوئی سلائی دان کرن تے آہرن لین چُھپا

کتھے ہے سلطان سکندر
سبھے چھڈ چھڈ گئے اڈمبر
موت نہ چھڈ دی پیر پیغبر
کوئی ایتھے پائیدار نہیں
اُٹھ جاگ گھراڑے مار نہیں
ایہ سون تیرے درکار نہیں
