Great Honour For Kanganpur from Rozan Adbi Forum: Under the platforms of World Punjabi Forum, Punjabi Parhia, Rozan Adbi Forum and Three Months Kangaan Gujrat, Torch bearer of Punjabi language Dr. Muhammad Afzal Raaz issued the social media posters of 101 most prominent Pakistani Punjabi literary personalities.
These are not merely social media posters. These posters will physically publishe as well by Rozan Publishers Gujrat.
No doubt, it is a great honour for Kanganpur city that four good sons of Kanganpur soil include in the list of 101 the most prominent Punjabi literary personalities of Pakistan The brief Introduction of these four prominent Punjabi literary personalities is as under:
Dr. Ibad Nabeel Shad
Dr. Ibad Nabeel Shad is Professor of Punjabi in BPS 20 and working as Principal Government Islamia College Railway Road Lahore. He is a prominent Punjabi Poet, writer, critic and researcher. He has been working as General Secretary of Punjabi Adbi Sangat Lahore for nearly 18 years.
The topic of his Ph. D Punjabi research Thesis is “Punjabi Vich Aapbeti Di Rawait”. Later, due to its importance, Punjab Institute of Language Art & Culture Lahore published this research thesis in Book format and the Government of Punjab awarded Dr. Ibad Nabeel Shad with a prize at PILAC Lahore.
Dr. Ibad Nabeel Shad worked as Editor of Book series “Satluj Kanganpur”, “Suneha Lahore” and “Tamahi Ankh Kanganpur”. The names of his Punjabi Poetry books are “Soli Tangia Soraj” (Nazam & Ghazal) and “Jaag Pia Andar Da Mousam”( Ghazal).
He is a Punjabi Activist and also a part of the Punjabi Language Movement. A student named Madiha Jamil of Government College For Women University Lahore submitted her MS Punjabi research thesis entitled “Dr. Ibad Nabeel Di Punjabi Ghazal Nu Dain” in 2018 and earned her degree of MS Punjabi.
Irshad Sindhu
Irshad Sindhu is a born poet. He is a famous and prominent Punjabi Poet of Kanganpur. Because of his beautiful Punjabi poetry, he is equally known in Pakistani Punjab, East Punjab India and Canada. He is also the lifeline of Punjabi meetings of poets.
The names of his outstanding Punjabi Poetry books are “Anbron Agge Hatt” (2009), “Rehtal Walian Wargi” (2016), “Waggaj” (2017), “Koh Koh Aggan Lagian” (2018), “Wahgion Sat Mil” (2019), “Rasay Lathan Ratan” (2020) and “Tara Tara Khaday” (2021). Due to the popularity of his Punjabi poetry, his three books named “Rehtal Walian Wargi”, “Waggaj” and “Sap Sajan Tay Sah” have published in East Punjab India. Sindhu is an active member of the Punjabi Language Movement as well.
He also won a lot of prominent literature awards including Masud Khadarpoah Trust and Government of Punjab. Irshad Sandhu is a part of the Masters level research Thesis of Manpreet Kaur of Central University of Haryana India conducted in the year 2021.
Sindhu is working as Elementary School Teacher at Government Elementary School Mehar Chand Wala Markaz Kanganpur.
Ali Babar
Ali Babar is a prominent literary personality of Kanganpur city. He is not only a beautiful poet but also an authentic writer, historian, photographer and researcher. His renowned poetry book of Punjabi Ghazals named “Chup Toon Baad” published in 2013 through Sanjh Publications Lahore.
This book won twelve big and important literary awards including Masud Khadarpoah Trust and Punjabi Sevak award. A student named Inam Jahangir of Government Post Graduate College For Women Samanabad Lahore conducted her Master of Punjabi research Thesis entitled “Ali Babar Di Kitab Chup Toon Baad Da Tanqeedi Wairwa” in the year 2015. He is founder of Punjabi Adbi Sangat Kanganpur.
He has photographed British time inscriptional Monuments in Punjab. The title of his M. Phil Punjabi research Thesis is “History of The Punjab Through Inscriptional Monuments (British Era). He is working on a special history project “The History of Sub-Continent Through Commemorative Stones”.
In this project, he is trying his best to save the precious history written on the commemorative stones affixed with pre partition monuments of India, Pakistan and Bangladesh. He is founder of famous official website of Kanganpur. He is working as Lecturer in Punjabi and Head of Department (Punjabi) at Government Graduate College Chunian District Kasur.
Nabeel Nabar
Nabeel Nabar is representative Punjabi Poet of the young generation. He is a young energetic boy who has great love for his mother language Punjabi. Nabar is very active for his Punjabi language and wants that Punjabi Language should be taught in primary, secondary schools and colleges as a compulsory Subject.
Mr. Nabar wants that people in general and especially the students in schools, colleges and universities should communicate freely and proudly in their Mother Language Punjabi without any hesitation. Nabeel is an educated person.
He received his basic education till matriculation from Government High School Kanganpur District Kasur. He earned his degree of Master of Science in Zoology in 2022 from University of Okara.
Moreover, as a private student, he is trying to obtain the degree of Master of Arts in Punjabi from the University of The Punjab. Mr. Nabeel is Social Media Activist of the official website of Kanganpur.
He wants to see his mother language Punjabi as a medium of instruction in the educational institutions in the province of Punjab. His outstanding Punjabi poetry has published in various Punjabi newspapers and journals.
Presently, he is working as a Policeman in Punjab Police. Some months ago, Famous Punjabi literary organization Dil Darya Pakistan awarded him “Punjabi Sewak Award” due to his sincere contributions to Punjabi language and literature done on the official website of Kanganpur.
