The seventh digital house and census 2023 is going to start in the country of Pakistan. Every building that has a roof will be counted. Every building in which people live, or conduct their business activities, will be counted.
History of Census
So far, six censuses have been conducted in the country. The first census was held in 1951. And the last time was in 2017. According to the constitution, census should be held every ten years.
What is very important and new is that all the censuses conducted before this census were done according to the traditional method. Which greatly affected the results. The actual results were declared very late.
The traditional method was very time consuming and a lot of budget was spent on printing the forms. The first digital population census in the country is going to start from March 1, 2023, which will continue till April 1. The official results of this census will be released on April 30.
The digital census is expected to yield substantially more original results. Best efforts are being made to collect secure information in limited time.
After successful completion of staff training the staff is fully prepared to carry out important national mandate like census. This time tablets will be used for census. Along with ease of saving data on the tablet, timely results will also be generated.
Self Census 2023
This time a new thing has been added that the method of census itself will be announced fifteen days before the commencement of census. With which people can save their home and family information sitting at home or anywhere.
After entering all the information, a universal token number will be issued to the user. The Universal Token number should be given to the enumerator when he comes to collect the information. The enumerator will verify the information you entered. He will save it when he has the correct information.
The advantage of self-entering the census information will be that it will save time and in case there is no head or male household, instead of giving all the information herself, the housewife will only have to provide the universal token number.
A few important instructions
The Pakistan Bureau of Statistics will soon start the household census across the country. Meanwhile, the enumerators sent by the respective provincial governments will come to your house. Citizens should remember the following important guidelines to avoid any kind of cheating and fraud during the process of census:
1. Details of personal cards of Census staff are available on the website of the Bureau of Statistics. It is important to identify the enumerators from the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics website in order to ensure national duty by fully cooperating with the census staff after correct identification.
2. Census staff will never ask you for your bank account details or ask you to join any reward scheme. Rather, you will be asked about your name, age, education, religion, language, occupation, migration, disability and basic amenities available at home. And the information provided by you will be used for policy making and planning of development projects.
3. Digital census updates and authentic videos are being released through the official press release, website and social media handles of the statistical office.
