About Poet
Mr. Ali Babar is a beautiful modern Punjabi poet of Kanganpur. Acdemic researcher Miss Anam Jahangir submitted her BS Honours Punjabi research thesis on the beautiful and unique Punjabi poetry book “Chup Toon Baad” written by Mr. Ali Babar.
His Punjabi poetry book “Chup Toon Baad” consisting upon beautiful Punjabi Ghazals was published in August 2013 by Sanjh Publications Lahore. This book has 72 Punjabi Ghazals. Mr. Ali Babar is a famous son of Kanganpur who brightened the name of Kanganpur through his poetry.
His book “Chup Toon Baad” won a lot of big Literary awards awarded by authentic Punjabi Organizations and institutions including Masud Khadarposh Trust Lahore, Gulshan e Adab Lahore, Ali Arshad Mir Foundation Lahore, Majlis Baba Nanak Lahore, Majlas Shah Abbas Pattoki, Mehkaan Punjabi Adbi Board Lahore, Punjabi Adbi Sewak Faisalabad, Naqeebi Karwan e Adab Faisalabad, Frog e Adab Foundation and Khawaja Abdul Hai Foundation Lahore.
Mr. Ali Babar is founding General Secretary of Punjabi Adbi Sangat Kanganpur. Currently, Mr. Ali Babar is working as Lecturer in Punjabi at Government Associate College Okanwala Bangla Chichawatni District Sahiwal.
Mr. Ali Babar is a true Punjabi Lover as well. He is also working on a unique project of history named “The History of Sub-Continent Through Commemorative Stones”. Mr. Ali Babar is a researcher, historian and research photographer as well.
He has great love for nature as well. One necessary thing to be pointed out here is this that when Miss Anam Jahangir conducted her BS Punjabi research thesis on Mr. Ali Babar, Ali Babar himself didn’t have the degree of Masters of Arts in Punjabi. Later in 2016, Mr. Ali Babar did his M.A in Punjabi from Punjab University Lahore.

Realizing extra ordinary poetry of “Chup Toon Baad”, Dr. Fakhra Sujah Associate Professor Department of Punjabi Government Post Graduate College for Women Samanabad Lahore ordered her student Anam Jahangir of Lahore to submit her BS Honours Punjabi research thesis on the poetry book “Chup Toon Baad” by Mr. Ali Babar.
Miss Anam Jahangir submitted her BS Honours Punjabi research thesis on the topic of “Ali Babar Di Kitab Chup Toon Baad Da Tanqeedi Wairwa” under roll number 17611 in 2015.
Miss Anam Jahangir conducted her research under the supervision of Mam Dr. Fakhra Sujah Associate Professor Department of Punjabi Government Post Graduate College for Women Samanabad Lahore.
Miss Anam Jahangir dedicated her research thesis to her parents and teachers. This research thesis consists upon 76 pages.
Chapters of the Thesis
Miss Anam Jahangir divided her research thesis into four chapters. The topic of the first chapter is”Ghazal Da Taaraf”. Subtopics of chapter one are “Ghazal Ki Ay?”, “Ghazal Di Torr Tay Punjabi Ghazal” and “Jadeed Punjabi Ghazal”.
The topic of chapter number two is “Shairi Da Taaraf”. Subtopics of Chapter number two are “Ali Babar Horan Di Hayati Tay Rujhaan” and “Samkalian Di Raay”. The third chapter is “Ali Babar Di Kitab Chup Toon Baad Da Tanqeedi Wairwa”.
Last and fourth chapter is “Mukdi Gal”. Miss Anam Jahangir mentioned bibliography at the end of her research thesis.
